Dr. Julian Nguyen

Dr. Nguyen recently purchased Dr. Muy Sun's dental practice and is excited to continue her legacy of excellence under the new practice name—North Seattle Smiles. He is committed to providing a personalized and comprehensive approach and is dedicated to staying up to date with new technology and research to provide the highest quality care for patients.

Education and Continuing Professional Education

Dr. Nguyen grew up locally in Kirkland, WA, and absolutely loves the Pacific Northwest! He went to Lake Washington High School and graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry.

After his undergraduate studies, Dr. Nguyen went on to the University of Washington School of Dentistry and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS). He believes dentistry is the perfect blend of science and art. However, relationships are the most important components of the field, and he believes he is incredibly lucky to have such unique patients, staff, and culture at the office. 

During dental school, Dr. Nguyen was involved with the American Dental Student Association (ASDA), where he worked with local and national groups to help lobby for access to care. He also volunteered for the Union Gospel Mission in Pioneer Square, Longview-Kelso Dental Clinic, and Seattle-King County Clinic.

Outside the Office

Outside of the practice, Dr. Nguyen loves to spend time with family and friends. He enjoys playing soccer, eating at great restaurants, and hunting for fantastic local bakeries. He, his wife Tori, and their baby son Quinn love to explore the Northwest!
